Summary:

We’re assembling a high-caliber technical team to design and deliver a next-generation Android and iOS SDK — along with a reference mobile application — for enabling resilient, secure digital payments.

As Lead Architect, you’ll own the SDKs and reference app’s end-to-end technical design, mobile architecture, and backend integration patterns. Your mission: ensure world-class performance, scalability, and security-by-design principles across the entire stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design of the SDK, including mobile architecture, modular component design, and backend integration patterns.
• Define and drive performance and scalability strategies across the SDK and related mobile applications.
• Enforce security-by-design principles throughout all phases — from threat modeling to secure coding and verification.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership: mentor engineers, review code, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Oversee integration of proximity communication technologies (NFC, Bluetooth, QR), secure element/TEE usage, and resilient payment flows within the SDK.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (OWASP MASVS, PCI, PSD2, EMV, GDPR).
• Establish and oversee robust testing strategies: unit, integration, performance, and comprehensive security testing (including static/dynamic analysis and penetration testing).
• Produce clear architecture documentation, API design guidelines, and developer-ready integration materials.
• Promote an agile delivery model with regular sprint demos and transparent progress reporting.
• Champion a top-tier developer experience — intuitive APIs, clean documentation, and smooth integration support.

Required Competencies:

• Proven experience as a Lead Architect or equivalent, owning the design of mobile SDKs and backend integrations.
• Native mobile development expertise (Android, iOS) using Kotlin and Swift; React Native or Flutter experience is a plus.
• Deep understanding of proximity communication (NFC, Bluetooth, QR) and secure device-to-device protocols.
• Expert-level knowledge of secure coding, encryption, secure storage, and transaction signing using TEE/secure elements.
• Hands-on experience in SDK development: developer-friendly APIs, modular structures, error handling, and embedded security.
• Familiarity with compliance and standards: OWASP MASVS, PCI, PSD2, EMV, GDPR.
• Solid testing background — automation, performance, and penetration testing.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus.
