Role Overview
As a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to designing, developing, and maintaining electrical HIL rigs at both the component and domain levels. Using advanced Vector tools, these rigs simulate real vehicle environments to enable early-stage integration and verification of hardware and software. You will play a key role in evolving our HIL systems to support emerging technologies while driving continuous improvements in test automation and simulation models.
Key Responsibilities
Rig Development & Maintenance: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of electrical HIL rigs.
Integration & Commissioning: Drive integration efforts across multiple product domains and safely commission and validate HIL test objects.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues, including wiring harnesses and simulations.
Configuration Management: Manage ECU updates, bring up ECU boards with firmware, and handle component configurations on HIL rigs.
Simulation Development: Develop advanced network simulations, including gateways and signal manipulation.
Technical Support: Support manual software downloads for core ECUs, handle software flashing, and perform SW verification and fault tracing.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related engineering field.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
Core Expertise: Strong background in electronic systems development (both hardware and software).
Technical Skills & Expertise
HIL & Automated Testing: Hands-on experience with HIL and automated test systems specifically using Vector tools.
Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python and CAPL for test automation and scripting.
Protocols & Analysis: Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and proficiency with CANoe for simulation and data analysis.
OS & Environment: Comfortable working in a Linux environment, including managing folder structures and installing/updating operating systems.
Vector Hardware Familiarity: Experience working with Vector hardware components.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with vehicle domains such as Doors, Sunroof, and Trailer modules, OR experience within Exterior Lighting or Interior System domains.
Familiarity with C# is a plus.
