Android Low Level Embedded Engineer

We are seeking an Android Low Level Developer in Lund! The successful candidate will
demonstrate knowledge of the Linux Kernel, HAL, Android Runtime and the libs, and a technical understanding of the top layers. You will be specialized in one or several sub-systems (Power mgmt, Bluetooth, Camera, etc.) with a willingness to learn about the others. You will work in all project phases and with all kinds of Android based products. And sometimes, for example in semi-systems, with other embedded software development.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

• Analysis of issues and finding suitable solutions - working with various parts of the lower stack in our Android devices

• Debugging with primary focus on the lower part of the phone stack, kernel and native

• Working in diverse areas from Graphics, Device drivers and Touch, to Linux OS, System core and Power

• Communication with internal users and developers (both locally and on other sites)

• Work together with other engineers to adapt our products to architectural changes driven both internally and from Google/Qualcomm

• Working with standard software management tools e.g., Git, Gerrit

To succeed in this role, you must have:

•  Relevant Engineering degree

•  About 5 years of experience in Android development

•  Deep knowledge of the Android Platform

•  Skilled in C++ with solid interest in programming and software development

•  Development tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Coverity

•  Meritorious is knowledge in Linux Kernel

•  Fluent in English

Meritorious:

• Experience in working with Qualcomm chipsets

• Creative debugging with multiple sources and techniques like debuggers, log and signal analysis
